Auckland-based Nigerian singer-songwriter, D.Matthews (aka David Matthews as his real name) has curated his own brand of motivational rap & energetic calm Afrobeat driven by the beats of Africa.
Known for his idiosyncratic style and abundant charisma, D.Matthews aims to inspire listeners through his stimulating lyrics and lively blend of Rap & Afrobeat/Afropop. He cites Afrobeat Music Pioneer, Fela Kuti, Burna Boy, alternative neo-soul songstress Tinashe and fellow Nigerian singer-songwriter WizKid as musical influences.
Born in Ibadan, Oyo State, D.Matthews knew he was destined to entertain from a young age. His career has since gone from strength to strength on a daily. He has been featured in Billboard, an internationally recognised pop culture and entertainment magazine & is in progress to break records on the stage of Splore Festival for the first Afrobeat/Afropop Artist New Zealand has ever seen.

NIFUSEN, is an upcoming artist based in Melbourne Australia. He was orginally born in Burundi which is located right in the heart of Africa. NIFUSEN is well known by his brand new hit single ” Good Time ” as it is his first new release as a solo artist. NIFUSEN’s music, combines elements of R&B, hip hop, and Afro-beat to give a ready mix uplifting tempo vibes. His music has different kinds ingredients and that is why his music is unique and his message strong.
Inspired by artists like India Arie, Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder, Lauryn Hill, and BEYONCÉ, Mukukā made the decision to pursue music as a career, studying Commercial Music at Waikato Institute of Technology. Since graduating in February 2018, she has been hard at work on her upcoming EP Autumn which comes out in July. The EP is a celebration of black culture through the lens of self-love and confidence.

Ras Judah & Culture Embassy
Ras Judah hails from Botswana in Southern Africa. He has been writing and performing music for over 20 years. Prior to his migration to New Zealand, Ras worked and toured with musicians from around Southern Africa, including; South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, and Malawi. In 2013 he moved to Wellington city to study at Victoria University. Once in Wellington, he started work with the current multicultural, 8 piece band, "Culture Embassy" - A full line up that plays Afro ethno-jazz, Reggae, and Folk Fusion. New Telepathics & Ijebu Pleasure Club
Hailing from Nigeria, 3 years ago Nuel arrived in Auckland NZ and is the frontman for the Ijebu Pleasure Club, a covers band that adapts pop and soul classics to Afrobeats. He is also one of the members of New Telepathics , a fusionist vibe of rock, soul, punk with some afro in the rhythm. Or as Darryn, the band leader, might say 'intergalactic.. music to protest suffering and celebrate joy.'
