Black Creatives Aotearoa, in partnership with UBUNTU HOME, proudly presented Aotearoa's very first Afro-Kiwi holiday extravaganza: JingleBeatz! in 2023.  This unforgettable 90-minute concert showcased some of the most beloved Christmas songs, including Little Drummer Boy, Silent Night, Do You Hear What I Hear, This Christmas, and, of course, Jingle Bells. The event featured seven of New Zealand’s finest African and Afro-heritage singers, paired with top African musicians, all under the brilliant musical direction of Thabani Gapara.

The band included Warren Duncan, Jay Moyo, Vion Slinger, Nesu, and Thabani Gapara on saxophone. Audiences were captivated by the vocal talents of Mazbou Q, Nesu, Jane Benney, Layla Pit, Keshia, Marissa Holder, and Munashe Tapfuya. To wrap up the evening in style, DJ ORIKoL, a Pan-African Afrobeat DJ, delivered an electrifying set that left everyone on a high note.
