Azamit Habtemariam

HAIRDRESSER

IMG_4351_edited.jpg

My name is Azamit . I’m from Eritrea. My grandma named me. It was completely my grandma’s choice. I have lived in NZ  for about 4 years now. I’m a hairdresser and I learn't  it while we were in Sudan. I went to a beauty school there in Khartoum. I do braiding, as well as traditional Habesha braiding, I also do sew in weaves, crochet, cornrows, and makeup. I also learned about manicures and pedicures as well.

I have thought about doing hair and make-up for other creatives like in shows or photography, or videos. I’m basically interested in all genres of creative work that require a stylist for hair and make-up

What’s hard in NZ  is that there isn’t as much demand for my skill-set, as there was back in Africa. So I miss that.  This was my full-time job back in Sudan, here that’s always a challenge as its isn't my full-time job and because I really enjoyed it.

I would like to connect with other creatives - in their genres  by doing things like makeup and hair for shows, or videos, or photo-shoots, or pageants  as Beauty school was my first love. I would love people to reach out when they need a stylist and talk to me.

I’m ready to work with anyone. I just need people to  contact me in advance so we can arrange something together. The best way to contact me is by phone 02108335685. Anytime is fine.

Or you can contact me on my page through the link.
