Hailing from Nigeria, 3 years ago Nuel arrived in Auckland NZ and is the frontman for the Ijebu Pleasure Club, a covers band that adapts pop and soul classics to Afrobeats. He is also one of the members of New Telepathics , a fusionist vibe of rock, soul, punk with some afro in the rhythm. Or as Darryn, the band leader, might say 'intergalactic.. music to protest suffering and celebrate joy.'
Ras Judah & Culture Embassy
Ras Judah hails from Botswana in Southern Africa. He has been writing and performing music for over 20 years. Prior to his migration to New Zealand, Ras worked and toured with musicians from around Southern Africa, including; South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, and Malawi. In 2013 he moved to Wellington city to study at Victoria University. Once in Wellington, he started work with the current multicultural, 8 piece band, "Culture Embassy" - A full line up that plays Afro ethno-jazz, Reggae, and Folk Fusion.
